Saskatchewan Students

Saskatchewan Students is a stream of Saskatchewan Experience targeting international students who have recently graduated from a post-secondary institution in Canada. Graduates must have at least 6 months of work experience with a Saskatchewan employer and have an offer of employment from a Saskatchewan employer which is related to their field of study. As well, the applicant must hold a valid post-graduation work permit at the time of application.

Requirements

For the “Students Who Graduated from a School in Saskatchewan” category, the following requirements apply:

 

Education:

  • The candidate must hold a recognized post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized institution located in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • The candidate must have at least 1 year of post-secondary education from a recognized institution located in the province of Saskatchewan.

 

Work Experience:

  • The candidate must have at least 6 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in Saskatchewan.

 

Job Offer:

  • The candidate must have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
  • The job offer must be in the candidate’s field of study and fall under NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B, or a designated trade occupation, or a job related to the candidate’s field of study that requires post-secondary education.
  • The job offer must be supported by a Letter of Offer from the employer and a Job Approval Letter from SINP.

 

Language Proficiency:

  • No language proficiency is required if the job offer is for NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.
  • If the job offer is for NOC Skill Level C, the candidate must have a valid language test score that meets the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher.

 

For the “Students Who Graduated from a School in Canada (Outside Saskatchewan)” category, the following requirements apply:

 

Education:

  • The candidate must hold a recognized post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized institution located in a Canadian province other than Saskatchewan.

 

Work Experience:

  • The candidate must have at least 6 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in Saskatchewan while holding a valid post-graduation work permit.

 

Job Offer:

  • The candidate must have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
  • The job offer must be in the candidate’s field of study and fall under NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B, or a designated trade occupation, or a job related to the candidate’s field of study that requires post-secondary education.
  • The job offer must be supported by a Letter of Offer from the employer and a Job Approval Letter from SINP.

 

Language Proficiency:

  • No language proficiency is required if the job offer is for NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.
  • If the job offer is for NOC Skill Level C, the candidate must have a valid language test score that meets the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher.

Application Procedure

  • Applications for the Saskatchewan Students stream can be submitted at any time through the SINP Online Portal.
  • There is no application fee.
  • The province will approve or reject the application after a thorough review.
