To be eligible for the program, a candidate must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade, or an equivalent amount of part-time experience, obtained within the last 5 years. The National Occupational Classification (NOC) defines skilled trades as occupations in major groups 72, 73, 82, 92, minor group 632 and 633.
