The Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) program is a component of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the Manitoba government. The SWM program encompasses three immigration streams aimed at foreign nationals who possess either employment experience or a job offer in Manitoba, as well as the necessary skills and training to succeed in the Manitoba workforce. The streams included under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba program are the Manitoba Experience Pathway (coming soon) and the Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway (coming soon).
Successful candidates under the SWM program will receive an official provincial nomination from Manitoba, making them eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residency. However, it is important to note that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee success in the program. All candidates will be evaluated and ranked against each other using the MPNP Ranking System, and only the most competitive candidates will be invited to submit their applications.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream is a component of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) designed to attract foreign workers who have already gained work experience in Manitoba. This stream is intended for individuals who are currently employed in the province and are seeking to transition to Canadian permanent residency status. It is a highly selective process, with only the most competitive applicants being considered for nomination. All applicants will be evaluated based on various criteria and ranked using the MPNP’s established ranking system.
Manitoba Experience Pathway
The Manitoba Experience Pathway is a component of the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. This pathway specifically caters to foreign nationals who possess current work experience within the province of Manitoba and are employed in the province at the time of their application. The selection process for this pathway is highly competitive, and only applicants with the most favorable profiles will be considered for nomination by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
MPNP Ranking System
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) uses a ranking system to assess the eligibility of all candidates who have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI). The purpose of the ranking system is to determine the competitiveness of each candidate and to invite only the most qualified applicants to submit a formal application to the program.
