The Yukon Business Nominee Program (YBNP) invites individuals with established entrepreneurial and business abilities to establish and operate their own businesses, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the Yukon economy. Eligible applicants must demonstrate their intention to own and operate a business within the Yukon Territory. Successful nominees will receive a Letter of Support from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for a two-year work permit, allowing them to establish themselves and their businesses in the Yukon. After the completion of the two-year period, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may receive support from the territory to apply for Canadian permanent residence through IRCC.

Yukon Entrepreneur Stream Application Procedure
The Yukon Business Nominee Stream operates through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. To participate, eligible candidates must register with the Yukon Business Nominee Program (YBNP) by submitting a comprehensive business proposal. Applicants selected from the pool will be invited to submit a complete application to the YBNP, however, the program’s selection criteria and frequency of selection are not disclosed.
Successful applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview in Yukon, upon which they will receive a letter of support for a two-year temporary work permit from YBNP. The applicant must then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the temporary work permit.
Upon establishing themselves, their family, and business in Yukon, the applicant must meet all conditions outlined in the Business Performance Agreement to receive a nomination for permanent residence from Yukon. After receiving a nomination, applicants have a six-month window to submit a federal application for Canadian permanent residence through a paper-based process, which is generally processed within 18 months.
