Saskatchewan Employment Offer

The Saskatchewan Employment Offer stream, under the Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker program, is specifically targeted at foreign workers who possess a valid job offer from an employer based in Saskatchewan. To be eligible for this stream, candidates must meet the specified requirements regarding work experience and attain a minimum score of 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid.

Program Requirements

  • Offer of Employment: All candidates must have an offer of employment from a Saskatchewan employer for a position at National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B or in a designated trade. The offer must be supported by a Letter of Offer and a Job Approval Letter from the SINP. The employer must register online using the SINP Online Portal and submit the position for assessment by SINP.
  • Language Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English or French equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4 or higher, through valid language test scores.
  • Work Experience: Candidates must have at least 12 months of work experience obtained within the previous 10 years in the same occupation as the employment offer. If the occupation is regulated in Saskatchewan, candidates must have the necessary licensing or certification.
  • Points Assessment Grid: Candidates must score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid.
  • Settlement Funds: Candidates must meet the settlement funds requirement as determined by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This can be demonstrated through their own finances or a valid offer of employment.

Application Procedure

  • Eligible candidates may submit an application through the SINP Online Portal at any time. There is no application fee.
  • If the province approves the application, the candidate will receive a notification of provincial nomination by email.
  • Candidates have six months to submit a paper-based application for permanent residency to the appropriate application center after receiving a provincial nomination.
  • The processing time for paper-based PNP applications for permanent residency is generally 18 months.

SINP Points Assessment Grid

  • The SINP Points Assessment Grid is scored out of 100 points, and candidates must score a minimum of 60 points to be eligible for the program.
  • Candidates must submit supporting documentation with their SINP application to demonstrate that they have met the 60-point requirement.
