To be considered eligible for this stream, the applicant must have obtained a minimum of one year of work experience in an occupation classified at NOC levels “A,” “B,” or “0.” However, it is important to note that experience acquired in an occupation listed on the SINP Excluded Occupation List will not be considered eligible. Additionally, candidates must attain a minimum score of 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid to be considered for this stream.

Federal Skilled Worker: Must have a high school diploma and at least one year of full-time skilled work experience in a NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B position, as well as language proficiency in English or French (CLB level 7). b. Canadian Experience Class: Must have at least one year of full-time Canadian skilled work experience (within the past three years) in a NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B position, as well as language proficiency in English or French (CLB level 7 for NOC Skill Level 0 or A and CLB level 5 for NOC Skill Level B). c. Federal Skilled Trades: Must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade occupation, an offer of employment in a skilled trade in Canada, or a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade issued by a Canadian authority, and language proficiency in English or French (CLB level 5 for speaking and listening and CLB level 4 for reading and writing).
  2. Level of Education: Candidates must have at least a one-year post-secondary diploma in Canada or equivalent, and any additional education required to perform their in-demand occupation.
  3. Work Experience: Must have at least one year of continuous work experience in an NOC level A, B, or 0 occupation that is not listed on the SINP Excluded Occupation List.
  4. Points Assessment Grid: Must score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid.
  5. Settlement Funds: Must meet the settlement funds requirement determined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This can be demonstrated through their own finances or through a valid offer of employment.

Application Process

  1. Expression of Interest (EOI): Candidates who meet the minimum requirements can register a profile using the SINP Online Portal and will be assigned a score and ranked using the SINP Ranking System.
  2. Invitation to Apply: The highest-ranking candidates will be issued an invitation to apply during one of the SINP draws.
  3. Application Submission: Upon receiving the invitation, candidates must submit a complete application to Saskatchewan within the designated time limit, along with a non-refundable application fee of $350 CAD.
  4. Provincial Nomination: If the application is approved by the province, Saskatchewan will notify the candidate through their IRCC online account and provide a 30-day window to accept the nomination.
  5. Permanent Residence: After accepting the provincial nomination, the candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score will increase by 600 points, virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw. The candidate must then prepare and submit an official application for Canadian permanent residence within the designated timeframe, which is typically processed within six months.
  6. SINP Points Assessment Grid: The SINP Points Assessment Grid is used to evaluate candidates’ eligibility and rank their Expressions of Interest, with a minimum score requirement of 60 points. In the case of tied scores, SINP may apply additional criteria, such as a connection to Saskatchewan, more years of work experience, or higher language scores, to prioritize candidate selection.
